 Milana Aleksandrovna Vayntrub (American actress, comedian, activist) is a comedian. Her birthplace was in the Soviet Union to Jewish parents and started her career as an actress as a child shortly after moving to the United States. She gained notoriety for her roles in AT&T television commercials as saleswoman Lily Adams from 2013 to 2016 and , since then, until the year 2020. She was a regular host of the Yahoo! Screen science-fiction comedy Other Space (2015). She also had an actor on the NBC drama This Is Us 2016-2017. Vayntrub has also been the voice of Squirrel girl in Marvel Rising since 2018, following her appearance in the television pilot that has not yet aired New Warriors. Vayntrub was born in Tashkent, Uzbek Soviet Socialist Republic, USSR, and is Jewish. At the age of two she emigrated with her parents to the U.S. to escape antisemitism. She was able to settle in West Hollywood. When she was five, she began appearing in Mattel Barbie commercials. This was in part due to the financial struggles in her family. Vayntrub went to Beverly Hills High School briefly, but she dropped out during her sophomore year. Then, she earned the GED, and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication at University of California, San Diego. She studied improv comedy with the Upright Citizens Brigade.
